The doctors all agreed that Mun was suffering from extreme kyphosis, but none would treat him. They feared that they could easily make his condition worse if they attempted to adjust his spine.

Kyphosis is extreme forward rounding of the upper back that leads to a hunchback stance. The injury to his spine caused the vertebrae joints to lock up in a misalignment. Kyphosis can cause a tremendous amount of pain, can lead to a decreased appetite, and can interfere with every day activities, as Mun experienced.
