KFC On The Holidays

People in the United States typically go to KFC regularly for lunch or dinner. But in Japan, it’s an entirely different situation. KFC is the most popular place for a Christmas dinner!

That’s right, Japan doesn’t celebrate Christmas like much of the world. Around this time they celebrate the holidays by scarfing down fried chicken, biscuits, and mashed potatoes at KFC. And the lines are insanely long.

It has been a common tradition ever since a successful 1974 advertising campaign dubbed “Kentucky for Christmas.”
