A lumberjack who was beaten up in a fight and then dropped into a Saloon where he was bandaged up.

The timber workers in Minnesota organized their first successful strike in January 1937 and then again one month after the above photo was taken, in October 1937. For many years the lumberjacks were working extremely long hours, lived in squalor and received little pay.
