The Honjo Masamune Sword
Created by the greatest swordsmith in Japanese history, Goro Nyudo Masamune, the sword came into the possession of Honjo Shigenaga after he was victorious in battle. Later, the sword helped Tokugawa Ieyasu become Japan’s first shogun in the 16th century. From then on, the powerful sword was handed down through his family until the end of World War II.
As part of the surrender agreement, the sword was turned over to American troops, but the historic weapon disappeared after that. The sword may have been brought to the United States or it could still be in Japan, waiting to be found again.
