Lost Shakespearean Play
There is textual evidence that tells us that, in 1589, William Shakespeare published a play called “Love’s Labour’s Won”, perhaps a sequel to his 1590s comedy, “Love’s Labour’s Lost”. Unfortunately, no copies of this play exist today. Paper is fragile and easily damaged, so it is possible that all copies of this play were damaged over the years, but at least one professor of English has another theory.
Professor William Carroll of Boston University has theorized that “Love’s Labour’s Won” is still in existence, but we know it by another name, “Much Ado About Nothing,”
