North Sentinel Island
The North Sentinel Island is located in the middle of the Bay of Bengal, between the coasts of India and Myanmar. The island is home to a remote tribe known as the Sentinelese. The tribe is known for refusing to contact anyone from the outside world. They have been known for violently attacking unwelcome visitors.
More recently, an American missionary went missing as he attempted to venture onto the island in an effort to establish contact with the Sentinelese tribe. The tribe is among the last known tribes to be considered virtually untouched by modern civilization.
The Indian government has recognized the Sentinelese tribe and has taken measures to protect them from prosecution should they hurt anyone that may intend to interfere with them or explore the island itself.
