3. New York Times Building
This photo from 1906 shows the Times Building, mentioned in on the previous page. The photo was taken in 1906, two years after the newspaper moved into the then recently completed building. The New York Times only stayed in the location for a mere ten years before moving to a newer building a few blocks away.
The Times Building is most famous for for its New Years Eve annual ball drop. It is hard to believe, but that tradition started a mere one year after this photo was taken.
