Native Americans Are Originally From Asia
Most scientists believe that the ancestors of today’s Native Americans migrated from Asia to North America. As many as 20,000 years ago, it’s believed that they walked across a land bridge that existed in the Bering Strait that connected Russia to the United States.
The bridge was known as Beringia and is thought to have been present when the ocean levels were lower, exposing a wide stretch of the sea floor. Numerous other successful crossings without the use of a boat have been recorded since at least the early 1900’s.
