Kutcher began researching, observing, listening, and learning all he could from some of the top names in venture capitalism.
Then in 2009, Kutcher was invited to put $1 million of his own money into Skype, a video conferencing application software. Just a year and a half later, Skype was acquired by Microsoft and Kutcher saw his investment quadruple.
That same year, Kutcher invested in Foursquare, an app that allows users to interact with their surroundings by providing them with recommendations about food, entertainment, and more.
