He produced My Boss’s Daughter, executive produced The Butterfly Effect, and created a prank show for MTV, Punk’d, which ran for eight seasons. He replaced Charlie Sheen on the popular television show, Two and a Half Men, in 2011 with a one-year contract that was reportedly worth around $20 million. He remained with the show until 2015, garnering an estimated $750,000 per episode.

During this time, Kutcher amassed a loyal following of fans and quickly embraced new and emerging technology. His Twitter account was the first to reach one million followers. This would help Kutcher substantially in the future.
