Highlights in Hair
In ancient Greece, many women preferred golden locks of sun kissed hair. Women often used a vinegar solution that, when in the sun, bleached the hair. Yellow flower dye was also used to give a golden hued look to luxurious locks. Much like today, highlights in the hair is fairly common for women and even some men. For the Greeks, they wanted something natural yet different.
Along with highlights, women also wanted to add shine to their hair. Pomades and wax were used to add shine to the hair and illuminate the highlights. While today, it is not recommended that you use vinegar to sun bleach your hair, you can always talk to your hair stylist!
